I graduated from the University of Vermont with degree in Art in 2005. Since then, I have done graphic design, content writing and editing, layout, website maintenance, and advertising as part of the roles I played in four non-profits:
I currently work at Common Ground Center overseeing marketing, governance, finance, and lots of other fun stuff. I'm open to freelance graphic design on the side, and especially looking to support the work of non-profits, cooperatives, and mission-driven businesses.
I live with my husband and dog in Vermont, and I enjoy cross country skiing, pottery classes, cooking, traveling (by train across the country!) and swimming in my spare time. I'm interested in documentary storytelling and learning how to do things the way my great-grandma would have done 'em, often with the help of the "new-fangled" internet. I'm told I'm a good listener and a creative problem-solver.
About Qwik Design
I've made my own greeting cards for as long as I can remember, and I must have had an intuitive marketing sense as a kid, because I felt the need to "brand" my cards. I started writing "Qwik Cards Inc" on the back of the cards, and still do to this day, though I haven't (yet!) incorporated the brand. It's on my bucket list to make it official!
